Het Palett is a practice for therapy, coaching and light therapy, located at Gomarusstraat 5, 9746 BC Groningen, The Netherlands. The practice operates under Vleugel Beheer BV (Chamber of Commerce number: 1138193). Gerda Vleugel is responsible for the processing of personal data as described in this privacy policy.
2. What data do we collect?
Het Palett processes personal data because you use our services or because you provide this data to us. Below is an overview of the personal data we process:
- First and last name
- Address details
- Phone number
- Email address
- Date of birth
- Health-related data (in the context of therapy and coaching)
- Session notes and treatment records
3. Why do we collect this data?
Het Palett processes your personal data for the following purposes:
- Carrying out the treatment agreement
- Maintaining a treatment file in accordance with legal obligations
- Being able to call or email you when necessary for our services
- Processing payments
- Complying with legal obligations (such as the Dutch Medical Treatment Contracts Act, WGBO)
4. Retention period
Het Palett does not retain your personal data longer than strictly necessary to achieve the purposes for which your data is collected. For medical files, a legal retention period of 20 years applies (in accordance with the WGBO). Other data will be deleted no later than 2 years after the last contact.
5. Sharing with third parties
Het Palett does not share your data with third parties unless this is necessary for the execution of the agreement or to comply with a legal obligation. We enter into processing agreements with companies that process your data on our behalf to ensure the same level of security and confidentiality.
6. Professional secrecy
As a therapist, Gerda Vleugel is bound by professional secrecy. This means that all information you share during therapy is treated confidentially. Only with your explicit consent can information be shared with third parties (such as your GP or another healthcare provider).
7. Security
Het Palett takes the protection of your data seriously and implements appropriate measures to prevent misuse, loss, unauthorised access, unwanted disclosure and unauthorised modification.
8. Your rights
You have the right to access, correct or delete your personal data. You also have the right to withdraw any consent you have given for data processing or to object to the processing. You can send a request for access, correction, deletion or transfer of your personal data to:
To verify that the request has been made by you, we ask you to include a copy of your identification document with your request. We will respond as quickly as possible, but no later than four weeks, to your request.
9. Complaints
If you have a complaint about the processing of your personal data, please contact us. If we cannot resolve the issue together, you have the right to file a complaint with the Dutch Data Protection Authority (Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens, autoriteitpersoonsgegevens.nl).
